Which course are you considering taking in place of 1XX3? 1XX3 is quite different from 1X03; it's a lot more biology based. You learn about different regions of the brain and their functions as well as the five senses and how they work. If you took Bio 1A03 in first year, there is some repeat in 1XX3, which may make the course a bit easier. There is a group essay component, which can turn out good or bad, depending on your group. Overall, I found 1XX3 to be easier than 1X03, just because the questions they ask aren't as tricky as 1X03. I also really enjoy learning about the brain, which probably helped me.
