Has anyone heard about Mr. Andre Bedard?

He is the genetics prof for first term.

I was just wondering what his classes are like.

I dunno about Bedard, but if you can take genetics second term. Dr. Dej is teaching it then, and she is awesome. I had her for cell bio last year and I have her for genetics in summer school. She really makes the course interesting, and her tests aren't too bad.

I had Bedard for cancer (Mol Bio 4H03)... he's a pretty good prof, but his tests I found to be really hard!!

Personally (after taking genetics 3 years ago and now TA'ing it for the summer) I would wait til Dr. Dej comes back for second term and take it with her. Her tests are fair and she is very approachable and responsive to the class.

From what ive heard his testing is very hard.... id also advise waiting to take it with Dr Dej.

Thats what i was worried about.
I heard alot of good things about Dej and shes teaching genetics 2nd term, but that class directly conflicts with my psych - neural communication and information processing class, so i have no idea what to do!

Are you taking the course in 2nd term or the summer?

Well if you take it during the summer, you will be covering quite a lot of material in a short amount of time. But, it seems like everyone is managing! The average for the two tests this summer were 80-83% (I can't remember the exact values, but I think it's somewhere there).

i would highly suggest taking it with dr.dej!!

I have taken Life 2C03-Neural Communication and Information Processing, and I can say, it's definitely worth dropping for Genetics with Dej, lol.
