Bio 3U03/ 3XL3.
Has anyone taken Bio 3U03 and Bio 3XL3 in the same term? I'm sure it's feasible with effort, but I'm a little nervous because they're both lab intensive courses.

The other courses that I'd taking during that same term are Biochem 3G03, Bio 2F03, Bio 3P03, and Bio 3ZZ3.

Any feedback/advice would be appreciated.

I've taken Bio3U03 and I can confidently say that those labs were the most tedious and lengthy labs I've written so far at Mac. On top of that, I believe 3XL3 has even more labs to write up...so imo, it may not be wise to take them at the same time.

I definitely agree. 3U03 isn't exactly easy because of the labs and how the TAs mark them. And with the write ups for 3XL3 and your other courses, it'll be a little too much for one term. However, I know a few people in Bio Physio spec that took them together and did fine! But maybe do the 6 courses in term 2 instead of term 1?

I recommend delaying at least one course, perhaps the Biochem, until your 4th year. If you spaced out 3U03 and 3XL3 over the next two years, that might also be a good bet. With 2F03, you will have some weeks where you're in lab for about 9 hours a week. Additionally, 3P03 is an amazing course but not everybody found it necessarily "easy". It requires time and actual understanding of the material, so if things are spaced out more it may be better to do well in all of those courses instead of overloading and struggling.

Thank you so much for the advice. I have dropped 3XL3 and picked up Psych 2NF3 for term 2.

Good choice! And you can always take 3XL3 next year!
