This questions would be better asked in the discussions and not in the course reviews.

biochem 3H03
Biochem 3H03 was an interesting course. It was basically about the clinical nature of diseases related to the liver, adrenal gland, kidney, etc caused by biochemical insufficiencies. A lot of endocrinology involved as well. There were 3 midterms, each worth 20% and one exam for 40%, nothing else. Everything with multiple choice. Two profs, Dr. Hill and Dr. Macri, and each taught half the course. Dr. Hill focused on the medical nature of the diseases and Dr. Macri went into labratory protocols. Overall, the course is not that bad, but the exam was hard.
If you're in biochem or even bio, it's a good course to take. Also, get the textbook. Even if you don't learn directly from it, it'll help with understanding how the biochemistry relates to the clinical symptoms.

I was wondering if it is possible to get a 10+ in a course like Biochem 3H03?

Biochem 3H03 is definitely a 10able course but getting a 12 is hard because of the exam. The easier course is definitley biochem 3N03. A 12 in that course isn't too hard to achieve, especially since most of the work in assignments is group based.
Also, on the topic of biochem courses, consider taking biochem 3D03 (metabolism), its required for biochem students and enrollment is limited. It really compliments biochem 3N03 and its easy to get marks in too. Dr. Macdonald taught both this year and a lot of the material overlapped.

what did the group project in 3n03 involve? did you get to choose your own groups and do you have to do a presentation?

I haven't taken 3g03, only 3n03.
3n03 is a heavy workload, but most of the assignments are kind of interesting if you enjoy nutrition topics.
For 3n03, there is a concept paper (2 page) every 2 weeks on a topic of your choice we discussed in class relating it to outside information you researched. And there are 2 tests during the term, which I found sort of challenging. And a opinion editorial piece, also short and fun to do. All this wasn't so bad, but at the end of the term things will get very busy because the project requires a lot of time and dedication if you want to do well.
From what I've heard about 3g03, the material is fine and there is a test every 2 weeks (4 in total I think) and then the exam (which is optional if you believe you did well enough on those 4 tests).

I took 3G03 last year and it is a very doable course, if its the same prof as last year. Although I must say, you don't really learn much in that class but it is an easy 12. People hardly went to lecture, since his tests were the same as his old tests which he posts, so all you have to do is review the material in old tests. You don't really need to read the textbook or lecture notes to do well on the tests, just know the old tests really well, he changes the numbers in calculation questions and the order of the answer choices but other than that the questions are exactly the same. And yes the exam is optional, he posts your final grade based on all 5 tests and if you are satisfied with your grade you simply don't do the exam.

yup 3G03 is easy for sure. Just make sure you go to the tutorials before every test so you know how to do all the questions. Don't even have to go to lecture to do well on the test. I have a lot of friends who got 12s by just studying from old tests. Ended up they didn't have to do the exam.

Biochem 3h03 - Clinical Biochemistry
This course is taught by Dr. Hill and Dr. Macri, and this is the only course these 2 professors teach at McMaster. The key to doing well for this class is knowing the lecture slides very well. Going to class can be considered optional, although there are some classes where the slides are not self explanatory and attending the lectures would be of some benefit.
