Can anyone who took this course in Winter 2012 comment on its difficulty, level of interest, grading scheme, professors, etc.? And if you had a course outline, that'd be greatly appreciated.

It's previously been taught by Dr MacDonald, this year it's being taught by Dr Sloboda (who is new to McMaster and thus has never taught a course here before) and Dr Schertzer.

Keep that in mind when reading anything about the course in the past. New profs means a lot can change.

In case anyone actually wanted the 2011-2012 outline...

I have never seen a more colorful outline before this one lol. It seems like an easy course. Correct me if I'm wrong!

I'd also like to know! I'm registered in it for this upcoming year, haha.

A friend who took it last year, said it wasn't a bird course, but it also wasn't difficult. But there was a group component and she ended up with a good group, so I guess it depends. Dr. MacDonald has been teaching it for a couple of years, but she isn't doing so this year, so the course may change a bit depending on the new professor and what/how the 2 professors decide to change .
