I really want to know if 3rd edition can be used (reading pages are the same or not) because it is half the price. Anyone who took the course last year please let me know

You don't really need the book. The midterms are based on just the slides.

lol no. 1-2 questions on each test from book only. this means 3-6 questions in whole course from book only (last year he used like 3 from book only all year). also, he gave 1 bonus mark on every test anyways so its like the text question wasnt even there.

yes, 3rd edition is fine, but you wont read it. i guarantee it. his slides are super detailed.

"2 or 3 questions per test*2 tests" = 2.4% of final grade plus whatever is on teh exam. You throwing away pa grade point (at least) without the book.

No midterm had 2 questions on it from the book. The midterms and exam had 1 question from the book each. this makes 3 qs from the book in the course. he gave us 3 bonus marks throughout the course. not worth touching the textbook especially if you get near perfect on the test by just studying the slides.

I did my undergrad in Biochem and I'm happy to say I survived without ever having to buy the textbook. For the most part, all the professors in the biochem department are really good at teaching their respective courses.
