Biology 1a03 exam?
I'm studying for the biology 1a03 exam which is on Monday. I was just wondering how difficult it was. Also do you guys remember if their was a lot of mendel stuff on it punett square pedigrees etc.
Dr. Kajiuria was making it seem like an extremely difficult exam.
I found the midterm really easy hopefully its on the same difficulty level.
thanks for the info

There's a bit of information here. Although it could be quite different since most of these reviews are based on Bio 1A03 taken during the school year not summer school. http://www.macinsiders.com/showthrea...3.html?t=21033
From what I remember, since genetics was the last section covered, or near the end, there was a fair bit of questions on the exam. Then again, I had both Kajiura and Boreham, and that section was Boreham's so it's definitely not the same. Just make sure you cover it all. If you've covered it near the end like we did, I would expect quite a number of questions on the exam. Hope that helps, and good luck!

Kajiura's questions are easy. It's usually the other professor that has more difficult questions, but considering you're in SS and therefore have only Kajiura, it shouldn't be too bad.
Kajiura's dumb; she spends hours talking up the difficulty of the course instead of just teaching it, and then she proceeds to ask the easiest MC questions EVER.

By the way, not everyone finds the questions that easy. Kamran's just very prepared, as you should . Her questions aren't difficult, provided you're studied enough.

Yes, the thing about this prof is she's easy to read and study for. Lucky you don't have to deal with another one.
i can't really offer any other advice then they do in the normal term - know the "Real life examples," etc (check the review comments)

also i find her "application" questions are just regurgitating the material, but phrased differently than learned in class.

Lol, well I don't mean to say that they're easy period, I mean to say they're much easier than the way Kajiura talks them up in class. Kajiura says how you should be studying 24/7, it's going to be the hardest thing you've ever written, make sure you know examples, structure, function, how it looks like in diagrams, a million different drugs for chemotherapy, etc, but you really don't need to know all that. Just a simple definition, understanding, and maybe an example for the key concepts will do. In other words, keep doing what you've been doing for the midterms, the exam will not be much harder than that.

I thought that the exam was extremely easy, only to be disappointed when my mark dropped by 2 grade points after the exam. I can't really give any advice because I have no clue why that would happen. I guess maybe I got some things mixed up in my head, so just make sure that you're clear on all the main concepts; the minute details aren't tested as much.
