Biology 1p03 ???
Hey, I am interested in taking PSYCH 1XX3 but in order to do that i have to have a grade 12 bio credit or take intro to biology (Biology 1PO3). How hard is this course and could someone please give me a little bit of an idea as to what I'm going to be getting myself into?

Thanks a lot!

I haven't taken the course, but if that's intro bio for people who didn't take it in high-school, "biochem" would probably just be talking about carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids. It's all pretty rudimentary. Then again, I am a bio student, so I might be biased!

If Kaijuria (sp? - I'm HORRIBLE with names) teaches it (she usually does), it'll be super easy, even if you don't have any Bio background at all.

Kajiura does teach it, and it was pretty easy. As for the biochem stuff, there's like one chapter on all of that (at least with the textbook we used) and it's very simple and not complicated to learn at all. It's just a matter of making good notes. I aced both the midterm and final, as well as the written assignment, and I wasn't spending all my waking hours studying or anything. Just go to class, take good notes and you'll be fine.

Oh, if the same textbook is used this year, there's a study guide edition of the textbook that's also sold and it helps a ton.

I know a few people who had to take it last year and said it was really easy and they really liked it as well, especially if Kajiura (<-correct spelling) is teaching it.
