which is better choice for third year; biology and pharmacology (co-op), molecular biology and genetics (co-op) or molecular biology and genetics?

Co-op would definitively help you get used to interviews and get your some work experience.

As for the differences in programs, I guess it depends on what you want to go into.

I would suggest talking to an Academic Advisor. If I were you I wouldn't put my future in the hands of random McMaster students. So definitively go see an Academic Advisor to help you make your decision.

ofcourse... but other people's opinions still expands one's perspective.

i just want to hear what people think of the two programs, what they like or dislike about them, and what they think are the potential career related possibilities upon completion.

Well, what I think of my program is that a lot of the class material overlaps. I have seen translation, transcription and gene expression so many times. I don't hate it, but I feel as if I can learn so much more... But then again, the semester I'm really excited about is term 2. I have most of my most interesting classes in term 2.

As for potential career related possibilities. I'm applying to optometry school next year, but really you can apply out of any program. Mol. Bio. & Gen. being my backup, I'm expecting something research related. That is to say it's another one of my interests and I haven't really looked into other career possibilities.

you have to consider the limited enrollment of the co ops too. they only take ~20 students in biopoharm and genetics one is also limited enrollment (though not sure how many) so that mey be a + or - depending on you.
mostly depends the type of career you want though so as jhan523 said, you should talk to an adviser

Something else to consider when making your decision between the two is that biopharm conducts all the pharmacology classes in PBL style. It's really great if you enjoy doing research and learning some topics on your own, but if you aren't motivated and prefer just going to lecture and having a prof talk at you...it probably isn't for you. So understanding how you learn best would be important to think about when choosing.
