Biotechnology
Can anyone tell me where I can buy used books for year 1 biotechnology? Also, is there anyone who has completed 1st year biotechnology, could you please let me know how it went. 1st term looks like it is very challenging. Just want some feed back as how it went for you.
Thank you

The booklist doesn't come out until the end of summer. You should wait until then before buying your books. Books can be found in the marketplace, on facebook, etc...

biotech is pretty easy if you put your mind to it.
I found the chem, programming, and electricity the hardest.
Beware of electricity, it's HAF.

We have to be in biotech to be able to register in certain course. For example, ENG TECH 1BI3. (biology). Automotive tech students can't take bio. but they can take mechanics, for example.

First year Biotech won't be too difficult if you stay on top of things. Although things were a little hectic at times with all your assignments/tests/labs. You should have nothing to worry about in term one because most classes were review of grade 12 classes (ie. Physics, Chem, Bio). Term two is where it gets interesting, beware of Electricity, it's a b#$%!. Other than that, I thought that most GEN TECH classes were pretty boring IMO.

Looks like Jeff's got most of the bases covered; the only thing i can add is that in order to get a decent mark on the 1PH3 labs you must be EXTREMELY thorough and to the point in your physics lab reports.
I think all you have to do is e-mail Grace to tell her what stream you wish to be in and then add those stream specific courses on SOLAR.
Don't worry about the co-op portion of b.tech if you're going into year 1. There there be a two part lecture some times during the year which will go into detail about that aspect of b.tech.
