Some species also can't really have sex for pleasure... like the ones where the female eats the male after copulation. |

Maybe humans/dolphins are the only species that are regularly studied for sexual behaviour? 'Cause I keep hearing my previous statement. Odd.
But seriously, these animals have the right idea.
Why some people think masturbation is taboo/dirty/wrong is beyond me.

While it may be possible (I've never heard of it), I highly doubt cats do it for pleasure. Cats (except for Lions) are solitary animals, and also the male's ***** has a hook-like appendage to keep the female from getting away. Sex for cats is very BDSM, and I have a hard time believing that cats would do it for pleasure.
