Booking a residence tour- help?
I realize that tomorrow is Welcome Day and residence tours run throughout the day... though I may not be able to go. In the case that I do go, what do I do? Do I just go to my residence building and will there be someone to help me out there or what?

In the case that I'm unable to go, is it possible for me to book residence tours for sometime during next week? If possible, how so? I couldn't find much info. on the website :(

Help please?
Thanks a ton!

McMaster's website does tend to be hard to navigate but here's what I found:

According to the Welcome Day website you just meet at the lobby of the building you want to tour during 9am-3pm, there will likely be people waiting there / signs:
http://fye.mcmaster.ca/wdevents.html

According this page on the registrar's site: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /tours.html there are residence tours on Monday August 9 and Friday August 13th. You have to use the web form available at:
http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /phpforms/newtourform.php
to prebook. Make sure to select residence only tour if that's what you want. It will also let you select the date once you select the desired type of tour.

Also note that the full campus tour includes stops in some of the residences as well.

Good luck and welcome to McMaster .

Thanks for the info! I've actually decided to go tomorrow. Though the problem is, my dad said he's got to be at work till 10... so we'll probably reach McMaster around like 11:30-12ish. Will I still be able to sign in? And is it necessary to sign in or could I just go to my residence building and have a look? Also, if I don't sign in, will I have to pay more than $5 for parking?

Just show up at your residence building and wait outside until a tour guide brings you in. Your C.A's/IRC reps work as a team to cycle groups through the building all day so there should be tour groups going in constantly. You'll definitely be able to check out your building, don't worry

Also, there shouldn't be a difference in the parking charge. The sign up system is mainly to gauge how many people will be coming so the Recruitment Office can prepare accordingly. It's not that strict
