Find your class. Click on the book titles. You'll see a used cost and a new cost.

For example Anthro 2B03: http://titles.mcmaster.ca/text/secti...ichcourse=2B03

Book one: 80.40/60.30
Book two: 29.95/22.50
Book three: 61.85/46.40
Book four:24.95/18.75
= approx $197.00 new/$146 used

I'm looking at about $600 (used books) all year, $500 if I can manage to hustle a Math 1AA3 book off one of my friends. Well I'm happy especially since I can probably bring that down to closer to $350 if I buy directly from students.

You should go to class first and let your professor confirm the books you'll be required to use. Then purchase your books ASAP because they don't waste time at university.

Most second term courses do not have a booklist available; I think profs have until October or November to submit the books students will need for the course.

There also isn't space for those books (two terms' worth) on the shelves as well.

They normally order enough to cover what they assume the class enrollment will be. If they do run out, they re-order and you get rain check and pick up the book(s) when it comes in.

First years can also usually buy used books from upper-year students...and for much cheaper.

what's up with Sociology?
If you're in the day class, you have to buy 3 books and if you're in the evening, just one? :s
http://titles.mcmaster.ca/text/secti...ichcourse=1A06

$1048 for new books!!!! $792 for used (and that's just the first term..wait 2nd term's list isn't there, is it?...here I was thinking i didn't have to buy any books then :()
I definitely need to search for these books in Pakistan first

Edit: ok i counted wrong...its something around $800 still!
