The Arts Quad / North-East
  • MUSC - McMaster University Student Centre (MSU, Student Services, Food court, etc)
  • GH - Gilmour Hall (Registrar's Office, Financial Aid office, Liaison Office)
  • UH - University Hall (Dept. of Religious Studies is here)
  • HH - Hamilton Hall (nice inside with chalkboard walls and cafe)
  • CNH - Chester New Hall (Faculty of Humanities office is here)
  • TSH - Togo Salmon Hall (Multimedia, Arts, Music)
  • KTH - Kenneth Taylor Hall (Social Sciences, INNIS library)
  • DSB - Degroote School of Business (Business, meeting rooms)
  • MML / MILLS - Humanities and Soc Sci library (also the most popular library!)
North Quad
  • CB - Commons Building (cafeteria and eating location for Residences. Also location for Meal Card office)
Athletics
  • IWC - Ivor Wynne Centre / David Braley Athletic Complex (The Pulse, Squash, Gyms, Pool, Dept of Kin, etc)
South-East
  • MDCL - Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Learning and Discovery (the biggest and nicest lecture halls on campus! Also has a waterfall sitting area - Faculty of Health Sci and School of Medicine are here)
  • LS - Life Science Building (Dept. of Biology is here)
  • HSC - Health Sciences Centre (you guessed it... Health Sciences is here)
  • PC - Psychology Building (also pretty obvious.. Dept of Psych is here)
  • WH - Wentworth House (The Pheonix restaurant, MacCycle, MacGreen, etc)
  • DC - Divinity College (Religious Studies)
South-West
  • JHE - John Hodgins Engineering Building (Faculty of Engineering is here)
  • BSB - Burke Science Building (lots of science labs and classrooms, home of Faculty of Science)
  • ABB - Arthur N. Bourns Building (Chemistry and Physics here)
  • ITB - Information Technology Building (Computer Science labs)
  • IAHS / Mo-Mac - Institute for Applied Health Sciences (Mohawk's Nursing program)
  • ETC - E.T. Clark Centre (Security Services are here...)

Here are the acronyms for all the buildings on campus:

ADL = Applied dynamics Laboratory
ABB = A.N Bourns Science Building
BSB = Burke Science Building
CSB = Campus Services Building
CNH = Chester New Hall
C = Commons Building
CRL = Communications Research Lab
DBAC = David Bradley Athletic Centre
DSB = DeGroote School of Business
DC = Divinity College
CUC = E.T. Clarke Centre
ETB = Engineering Technology Building
GSB = General Sciences Building (sometimes also abbreviated to GS)

I remember one of my friend's roommates last year thought ITB was the stupidest acronym ever to choose for a building because he thinks it's universally known that that is the acronym for "In the butt".

I facepalmed and lol'd simultaneously.

You're most likely not going to have any classes for half the buildings in that list. You'll have the ones you need to memorize memorized in no time.

yeah, he's right. I went to Mac today to find all my buildings, and I know the short forms for all of mine already. ^_^
