$300? That's child's play! I spent around $150 for my nutrition class, and $150 again for explorers courseware last year alone! They forced me to do it!

I'm really confused about buying books as well. People tell me to wait after I've started class to buy them, but some people still say it doesn't really matter. :S

No idea what to do lol.

Just wing it!

Whatever happens, happens.
if it goes badly, you can have something to complain about later. That's my theory

It doesn't really matter...........if you don't mind shelling out >$500 worth of texts not knowing if you'll use half of them.

Not all of the textbooks that you'll need in Term 2 will be available now. So when January comes, same thing, just head over to Titles to purchase them!

If you do plan to buy your books from the bookstore, I would buy them asap esp if you want to get your hands on the used cheaper version of the same book...they usually go faster. However, I would still recommend going to your first class to see whether you'll actually need the textbook of not. Many times the prof will say that his/her lecture notes will be sufficient to study for midterms/exams. This is not always the case, but I would wait for the first day at least.
