Can someone point me in the right direction?
I am looking into summer school and have a few questions that I couldn't seem to answer myself:

1) Is there a minimum amount of courses I need to take in the summer? Or can i just take 1? (I'm eyeing one course thats in term 2)

2) Where/when do I register? Does the option just pop up on SOLAR and I see if I can get a seat, and then pay the course fee?

3) Does it matter what I take? As in the course I want to take is a required course for my program in level 2, I anticipate that I will have difficulties with it and would like to take it in the summer to focus on it more, will it just be counted towards my program as normal and I dont have to take it in the following Fall/Winter session?

Thanks so much

1. You can take just one course.
2. You register on SOLAR, I would check with the registrar office about the date.
You do a payment agreement at the same time
3. It doesn't matter what you take. Some grad schools don't count your summer marks, but it will go towards your program at McMaster

You can take only one course, but not if you're applying for OSAP. With OSAP, you need at least 2 classes I think, or one six unit courses to qualify for funding during the summer. Or if you only want to take one course you may qualify for a 'part-time' student loan for the summer.

12 units is the maximum, I believe. 6 each term. Over that, and you are "over-loading". While possible, I believe you need a strong academic record, and approval/permission from the Associate Dean of your respective faculty.
