I am entering Engineering I this fall, and I was wondering if it is possible to request an Eng I roommate?
Thanks!

If you know a specific person you want to room with then you can request them (provided they request you as well), but as far as I know it is impossible to simply request an engineering roommate.
That said, they try to put faculties together, so it is very likely you will end up with an engineering roommate, but not guaranteed.

This was just addressed in another thread...you used to be able to, but apparently now you can't.

In first year (life sci), I had one roommate in life sci, and 2 in engineering (4person Bates)

Just find someone on the Engineering fb group or something that is also looking for an Engineering roommate and put each other's names down as requested roommate...

The above probably seems like the best idea. You also probably want to chat a bit beforehand and get an accurate idea of the other person's personality before listing them as a roommate. 8 months can be a long time if you clash constantly.

the floor you live on will have engineers. it will be easy to find some right by your room and it wouldnt even make a difference if they were your roommate or not. and i doubt they try to put faculties together in residence. it seemed pure random to me this year at least.
