Car-Free Day on September 22
The Office of Sustainability, in collaboration with the MSU's MACGreen, OPIRG and the City of Hamilton, will be hosting Car Free Day celebrations on National Car Free Day, September 22nd.
Some of the events include:- Totally Transit: Wear your Smart Commute Hamilton bracelet (which can be obtained at OPIRG Office located in MUSC 229 or from the main Security Desk in the Downtown Centre) and you can ride the HSR for free on September 22.
- Bike to Work/School: Members of the McMaster community who bike to McMaster's main campus on September 22 and arrive between 8:30am and noon can come to the Sustainability tent, located in the MUSC/Mills plaza, for a free bike tune-up, courtesy of MACycle, and enter into a draw for one free term of rental space in McMaster's new Secure Bicycle Storage Facility or one $20 gift certificate to Pierik's Cycle.
- Group Walk at McMaster's Main Campus: A group walk around McMaster's main campus will be led by Roger Couldrey, vice-president administration. Meet at the steps of Gilmour Hall at 12:20pm to depart on a 20 minute walk around camps, ending at the west side of Chester New Hall - the location of the new Secure Bike Storage Facility.
