Chance of gettining into STATS 2B03 fall term
I've been trying to get into Stats 2b03 the whole week with no luck. Does anyone have an idea how likely it is that i'll actually get in...

I'd say your chances are good. People start dropping things like mad when SOLAR reopens in August, and if you don't get it then, you can get it when school starts. As far as I know, no one's falling over themselves to take Stats courses, and don't math-y courses get dropped a lot anyway?

Actually this is one of tougher course to get cuz most science programs require you to take this by end of 3rd year and also it looks like there is only 1 core each term this year.
I know last year when I took it some of my friends couldn't take it cuz it was full but like everyone says keep checking and it will eventually open up

If you're in 2nd year, you may not be able to get a seat. That's because the seats are typically reserved for 3rd years. So don't fret if you can't get a seat this year - just wait. They will definitely grant you one in your 3rd year. It's not a course that needs a lot of math skill, just a lot of practice and hard work. Good luck!

Yeah, they say it's a second-year course because of the level of difficulty, but really it's meant to be taken in third year to prepare you for your thesis. They won't open up spots for second-years, but they will for third or fourth years.

It's also typically offered in the summer.

Stats 2B03 was full for many second years. Most of us who got it had luckily grabbed a spot during SOLAR, but checking in August wouldn't hurt.
