Chances of switching into a limited enrolment program?
Okay, hypothetical situation: let's say I take a bunch of the required courses for the Bio Physiology specialization in second year, along with required courses for my current program (which I'm going to be doing regardless of my situation). As the year nears its end, I realize that I would rather be doing physiology. Now, assuming that I eventually take all the courses required to graduate with a BSc in Bio (Physiology), would I be able to transfer into Physiology after second year? Has anyone transferred into a limited enrolment program before simply by taking all the required courses?

I'm probably going to end up asking an academic advisor anyway, but I'd like to get some feedback on this and see if it's worth trying, considering it's a limited enrolment program.

I transferred into a limited enrollment program my third year, but did not take any of the required programs my second year. But from my knowledge you can shadow the program you intend to apply for then if your average is high enough you are able to transfer. When I switched into social work grades were a very important part of the process, the admissions test was the other half. However, I'm assuming there is no test for suitability for Physiology, but definitely speak with an academic advisor, they'll know more about this than me.

I transferred into Physio after first year... I basically didn't even put it as an option, emailed Kathy McIntosh sometime in June and got in. It depends on demand and your marks. Maybe shoot her an email?

Ah, okay. Yeah, I'll definitely talk to an academic advisor about this. I'm just glad to hear that it's not impossible, hah. >.>

Thanks for the input!
