Charity Ball Theme Announced!

 
The theme for this year's annual Charity Ball has officially been announced! It is the Curse of Amun Ra, an Egyptian theme. You can check out the Facebook group here.


According to Wikipedia, Amun Ra is the Egyptian Sun God: Lord of truth, father of the gods, maker of men, creator of all animals, Lord of things that are, creator of the staff of life.

Very interesting!

If anyone is thinking of wearing something Egyptian themed this year (or wear something unique), I suggest you check out what is available on Etsy; an online site that has thousands of vendors which kind of reminds me of a cross between EBay and Kensington Market. If you shop around, you can get amazing stuff really inexpensively.

I love this theme!! I wasn't planning on going but the theme alone is making me reconsider.

I'm wondering how themed we are supposed to dress though. Should I just wear a black dress with some Egyptian themed jewelry, or should I go all out like this (but a little more covered up):

lol, I am also debating whether I should dress up in formal clothes or wear an Egyptian outfit. There's enough time so I guess we'll see...

Glad to hear you're all loving the theme- makes my job a lot easier!

P.S It's a formal so you're not required to wear theme-related attire. Totally upto you guys though! We will have some Egyptian models around however for photos !
