I'm just going to put in a word for Professor Goward. She was very nice when she taught and had a very good pace. She likes to expand on topics a bit too so that was always interesting to listen to.

If you're worried about the review, get your hands on a Petrucci text earlier and do the "review" chapters stated by other students. So that's usually Chapters 1-4, 6, unless they've changed it. Somebody who took Chem 1A03/Chem 1AA3 last year should be able to post up the Chem outline, or you could email your profs stating that you're a bit concerned and want to work ahead. Do this in the last 2 weeks of August, and that'll really take the pressure off.

As mentiond, already, Chapters 1-4 and 6 were supposed to be review of grade 12. Although, I had a few friends who felt that a lot more of it was review, so it really depends on your grade 12 background in chemistry. Also, you can always get the book early (i.e. a week 2 before classes start and read those chapters as a refresher.
