I was wondering for chem, do we have to go to our assigned lectures, or are we allowed to attend other lecture taught by different profs?

Go to any lecture you feel like.

You are allowed, no one is taking attendance in lectures so don't worry. =)

However during lecture there are iClicker questions that will only register if you are in the correct section. So if you miss your section and attend a different one you won't get those marks. (IIRC they are only 5%?)

Just so you know, 5% is around 1 grade point.
