I seem to have the most trouble with the conceptual problems for some reason. Like the ones where it says "Which of these is incorrect/correct?" and most of the time the 3 mark questions completely stump me so i don't know what i should do to prepare. Any suggestions? Really desperate at this point :(

it can happen... my 1aa3 mark increased after the final last yr... BUT you would have to devote alot of time to it.. and judging by your previous marks its not likely to be an extreme turn-around.. i would suggest you speak to an academic advisor asap ... and possibly consider cancelling and taking it in the summer.. OR take the mark u get.. it all really depends on what programs u are interested in applying to for next year... as many require 1aa3 and a decent CA

edit: labs are worth a great deal of your mark.. so if u did decent on those (most people do) your mark may not be as bad as u expect

the textbook (well the one they sold last year) comes with a code for online content... they have several practice quizzes, which also gives u hints/tips when u get the answer wrong... do those... reread lecture material and do suggested textbook problems

1. yes masteringchem
2. most of what we needed to know was in the lecture notes.. dont read the whole textbook... if u want to read the book, use the notes as a guide as to what to focus on and what questions to practice
3. sure

every little bit helps

Old tests and exams should be your major source for practice. Textbook problems and mastering chem are nice and all... but the old tests/exams are really the best indication of the level of difficulty you should be prepared for. I recommend beginning your studying with those, identifying specific areas where you're struggling and go to tutorial/get help from a TA to clarify those issues (if you're not going already).

Dropping Chem and taking it in the summer is an option, but keep in mind that summer school takes up time that could be spent working or volunteering or doing fun summery things. I took 3 courses last summer (one was Physics which I dropped during the year, similar situation as you) and was basically unavailable to work for 3 months... = big empty space on my resume. At least you care enough about the course to start up a discussion and ask for help. Maybe you'll be fine if you tough it out?
