chem 1r03, can i take it?
i cant seem to find any reviews about chem 1r03 so il just ask here

i just got my ouac marks and i recieved an 87 in chem, but to be honest, i know i didn't deserve it, the exam i just got really lucky and exactly all the things i studied for popped up

my question is, if i got over 80% in 12U chem, am i still eligble to take chem 1r03? I read somewhere that im not

thanks guys

no you wouldn't be able to take it because its not open to students who have an avg of 80 or above in Grade 12 Chemistry U.

@jitnikovi: You should be okay. 87% is a really good mark and suggests that you know your content. Even if you don't, chem 1a03 starts off as an introduction to chemistry. My advice for chem 1a03 and 1aa3 is try to minimize memorizing the content and start understanding, while for other classes such as bio 1a03 and 1m03, memorization is critical in my opinion.

Like abelon3 said, understanding the concepts in chem 1A03/1AA3 is key for doing well. Don't worry though, the first year chem department is really helpful in terms of making sure students get as many opportunities as possible to get their questions answered. There are a whole bunch of office hours, chemistry help hours, chem TA's at thode etc.
