Chem 2AA3 (Analytical Chem for Chemists)
I know Dr. Britz-McKibbin teaches this course (and it's not the bioanalytical course that Chemical Biologists and Biochemists have to take) and I was wondering if any previous Chemists had an outline or any details about it.

According to one person last year, the final had a terribly low average and needed an adjustment. I'm not sure if that's actually true or not because I know a lot of people loved Britz when he taught the bio-analytical course.

Any information would be fantastic
Thanks so much

Bump. Does anyone have any information on this course like mark breakdown, difficulty, exam/test format, etc?

I just finished this course. We don't have the marks yet, but I'm willing to bet the final exam marks will have to be adjusted. There's a lot of memorization involved. The only math is some basic statistics. Dr. Britz is a great guy and a pretty good lecturer. He's very open to discussion and encourages it (10% of your grade is participation). The format is basically the same for assignments, test, and exam: some multiple choice and some short answers. On the test/exam you get some choice for which short answers you want to complete. Those questions do have multiple parts, so if you know the answers to A and B but not C it kind of sucks.

I've attached this fall's course outline.

EDIT: Grades just came out - they've definitely been adjusted.
