Child Health in Hamilton Discussion & Volunteer Session
Do you have an interest in child health? Want to work with children and families in our community?
Come to Save the Children Mac's CHILD HEALTH IN HAMILTON DISCUSSION & VOLUNTEER SESSION on Wed, Nov 3rd 7 PM - 8 PM at the McMaster University Student Centre Room 318. We are hosting this event in collaboration with the Student International Health Initiative.
A guest speaker from WESLEY URBAN MINISTRIES' child, youth and family services program will be recruiting volunteers and giving information about available positions. See http://www.wesleyurbanminist ries.c...php?page=youth for more information.
We will also be engaging in discussion about the social determinants of child health as it relates to a city like Hamilton. Did you know that 25,000 children in Hamilton live in poverty? This has a profound impact on the health and well being of our community.
