For people who have taken the course, how was the course load and should i take it if i had no working experiences ? Since this is suppose to help u build ur resume.

You want to be able to intern, and it also teaches you how to find a job and do an interview properly. You're unemployable without it.

I can't tell you much about the course, since there aren't any reviews for this particular course here on MacInsiders, but here is the course outline from 2017 if that helps you get an idea of what to potentially expect.

From the looks of the 2017 outline, it says it's only a 10-hour course. So you can probably expect it to not very time intensive.

Of course, this could change with the 2018 course.


Commerce 2IN0
Career Development Course 2017

Commerce 2IN0 is a 10-hour, non-credit course that equips students with the skills to effectively transition from the classroom to the workplace.

The class is instructed by a Relationship Manager from the Career and Professional Development office with small group activities facilitated by Career Mentors.

2. Personal Branding
3. Self-Assessment: Career Leader

Week 2
1. Resume Development
Overview of writing a resume
STAR statement activities
Peer-to-peer critique

Week 3
1. On-Campus Recruitment and Job Search Strategies
2. Networking Best Practices

Week 4
1. Cover Letters
How to effectively sell yourself on paper
Facilitated critiquing process

Week 5
1. Interview skills – How to Ace the Interview
Tips and techniques for successful interviewing
Different types of interviews
Role playing – Are you ready for the questions?
2. Course Wrap-Up
