Has anyone taken this course before? Can you comment on the difficulty? Tips?

It's not that bad at all. I didn't find there was a ton of information to memorize so it's easy to stay on top of the topics before a test. The midterms were very fair, as well as the exam.

I would not be too worried about this class going into your third year.

Oh, I thought this was more of a technical course like 2QA3 (statistics)? It is a memorization-type course?

There is some memorization, to me more along the lines of steps to solving certain problems. However, I didn't really find it much like 2QA3. It builds off 2QA3 a bit but more so introduces new topics.

You'll find that for 3QA3 and 3QC3 its very visual. It's hard to explain until you see the topics. You'll draw things like decision trees which can be confusing because there's a lot of odds and options. Overall, as long as you do the assignments and re-do practice problems for a test, it all should come relatively straight-forward for you

I took 3QA this summer, its easier compare to 2QA3.
we had a new prof, but he used same materials as the regular term prof.
The midterms were easy, only the final had a little challenge.
