Complementary Studies
Background story:
I took Greek in 1st term and signed up for History 1M03 in 2nd term. I ended up hating Greek, so I dropped out History and swapped it for Enviro. Sci 1B03.

The problem is that I, being an idiot, didn't check to see if I was allowed to take EnvSci, and turns out that it's not a complementary course, and now I'm stuck, because apparently somebody took my M03 spot.

1. What the heck does it mean if I don't complete my complementary course reqs for 1st year?

2. Can I take a fitting course over the summer, and will it cost me more?

3. Is there a way to reverse/fix this?

I tried looking at other courses, but all of them are full. +_+

*Edit; I'm in Eng1.

1. You don't have to do the two electives in first year as long as you finish them before the end of fourth year. Not doing them in first year can be to your disadvantage though because it's one (or two) less courses used in calculating your CA that is used to determine which stream you can get into in year 2.

2. You can take it in the summer, I'm not sure of the costs though

3. Best bet is to talk to someone in student services about it.

take econ 1b03 or 1bb3. if you're interested in management then you have to take 1b03. i'm in a similar situation, just find a course in the electives list and see if it fits into your schedule. you can wait until term 2 starts when people start switching up their courses, then check if the courses you're interested in have room available.
