Conficker Worm
Apparently a worm is supposed to infect many computers today. Read the following for more information:

I didn't get infected I saw it on the news today and made sure my antivirus was updated ... lol first time in a while

Yeah... I haven't been bothered at all... I can see how corporate computers and other things like that could be targets, but it seems WAY blown out of proportion for the general public. I saw a few polls and about 75% of people were not worried about it. Just a good media story perhaps? I don't know... may be too soon...

the same thing happened last year on April fools.... someone said a HUGE virus was going around...blah blah...
i think its an april fools joke!

Conficker is a real virus. The April Fools part has to do with the fact SOME creators of viruses (not necessarily conficker, but others) think it would be funny to make all of the infected computers break on a certain day, April Fools is just the type of day they'd like. And I'm sure there have been known viruses which have been programmed to start on april fools day.


pc stands for personal computer.
macs are PCs as well.

I don't even have a laptop anymore. :( Mine doesn't work anymore so I borrowed a friend's for the week.

Yeah, let's just hope I just don't catch the worm in the laptop. lol this is the worst time for my laptop to die on me.
