Could I get by in Political Science 2XX3 without having taken 1G06?
I am a second year engineering student trying to find a good elective. I am wondering if its possible to do good in the Political Science 2xx3 course without havint taken political science 1g06. Any help is appreciated

Many Pol Sci courses don't have prereqs. I took 2XX3 in first year without taking 1G03.

I found I was missing a lot of common knowledge in terms of theory, so I struggled with that a little bit. I also found Gailegeos' midterm very very difficult (our class average was like 56%). I did well on the essay though, so that pulled up my final grade quite a bit.

You can get into Pol Sci 2XX3 without taking 1G06. I've taken 2XX3 and I think it might be difficult without 1G06, unless you already have a decent political science background. You could always try it and switch out if it's too hard.
