CPR and First Aid
Hey, I'm looking to get my CPR and first aid done soon. Just wondering if anyone has theirs completed and what the renew process is like? Do you have to go through the classes again or take a test to renew it? You have to renew it every 2 years or so correct?

They do a small review I think for review courses, and its cheaper than regular classes and is only one day. You have to have a valid first aid certificate dated to 3 years. Click for the mcmaster athletic centre's class link.

The MSU also offers classes through EFRT

Your CPR is valid for 1 year and the First Aid is valid for 3 years (atleast it is with St.John Ambulance). Depending where you want to take the course the link below provides course dates in cities in Ontario.

If you have the LSS SFA/CPR, you're allowed to recertify it once before you must take the whole course again (you cannot recertify a recert). I'm not sure what the RC policy is.
You can take the course through EFRT. They offer the RC version.

yes Lifesaving society expires every 2 years and you have to take the full course again after you recert once.
