A small introduction to the conference has been posted below, and you can find out more information about this year's speakers on the conference's website!
The Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Healthcare (formerly known as the Queen's National Undergraduate Conference on Medicine) will provide a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to engage in discussions and debates about the future of Canadian healthcare. Being the largest student-run conference of its kind in the country, CUCOH brings together 300 of Canada’s top students and healthcare experts in November to historic Kingston, Ontario at one of the country’s top research-intensive universities.
The delivery of healthcare in this country is undergoing intense scrutiny and the actions being taken have great impact for aspiring healthcare professionals. Thus, particular attention will be paid to developing an understanding of the intellectual and political climates of the healthcare environment in which tomorrow’s professionals will be working. This year’s conference will also address both clinical and research issues related to medicine and highlight the interdisciplinary nature of healthcare in seminars covering technological, societal, political, economic, educational and ethical perspectives
In order to address the importance of research in various healthcare fields, CUCOH will host the Health Sciences Research Competition - an abstract competition open to both graduate and undergraduate students. Monetary prizes are awarded to winners.
