Dc++
Hi,
I'm trying to install DC++, and I THINK I did it right, and then when I open it up, it says "Min share is 1GB", and then connection closes. I thought it was 500 MB?
Either way, did I do something wrong?
Thanks.

Maybe they increased minimum GB shared? I share more than 1GB and I don't have any problems.

That really sucks... Because I actually don't have 1GB worth of files on my computer, even if you included homework and stuff... :'(

Upload random crap, then download more random crap, then upload the random crap that you downloaded to take place of the original random crap you uploaded.
1GB has been the min for quite a while now.

Well, if you can't get any more gb's of whatever, just take home a usb if you go home for Christmas break, fill it up, and then bring it back and submit it to DC++.

just share your entire C drive. C:/Windows alone should be more than enough. you're probably using a mac.
Just share your entire drive. there is no way it is less than 1GB
(and when you're on there, download 1GB of files and share that instead of your entire drive if you want.)

I'd say that sharing an entire drive is a pretty dumb idea.
Just get a movie off a friend on a thumb drive.
And FWIW, I'm a software engineer that uses a Mac.

I'm assuming he is suggesting you share your C: Drive for about 2 minutes while you download two movies from someone which would clear the 1 gig limit. At that point you unshare your drive. It's very unlikely any of your files would get downloaded within a 2 minute window.

I don't want to share my entire C rive though, even for two minutes, just in case of the academic integrity thing... I don't wanna be kicked out. And why yes, I AM female. I'll just ask some of my friends for movies
Thanks!
