yes, it's definitely possible. I don't know how, because my housemate's bf set it up, but it is possible. The dl speeds aren't as fast though, and you need to change some settings otherwise you won't be able to use the internet on campus.

Yes DC become available off campus last year.
You have to forward some ports. Instructions are at: http://machub.dyndns.org/
The speed you download at though is dependent on your connection speed. It's not going to be as fast as it was on campus.
Personally, I never bothered with it off campus.

Ya I set mine up just yesterday actually but no one is on it lol. I only saw maybe 2-3 users. Is that the same for everyone else?

It's generally dead in Summer since no one lives in residence.

ya I had felling it was that or I was only connecting to other off-camps users. My speeds though are not to bad either imo something I can live with. I downloaded about 4+ Gb under 11 hours just left my laptop on during the night.

Also, when your off campus, you connect via the internet, so what you download is counted towards your bandwidth limit

When I was in res, I could download 4+ Gb in under 10 minutes, so comparatively, 11hrs is really slow

Ya I know res is unbelievably fast lol. I was comparing it to off-campus speeds. Just saying with a bit of tweaking you can get decent speeds I guess.

Offcampus all depends on your internet speed.
TBH - its easier to just torrent or DDL offcampus..
