anyone heard of this, apparently u can download movies from it and its localized at mac or something. can anyone please explain to be how it works. and also if its 'legal' to say if u get caught by uts using it is it bad ? << that was horribly phrased

anyways apparently u need some hub id does anyone know what that is for this yea

The hub address is machub.dyndns.org, or just machub.org.

Upon first entering the program (assuming you're in residence), you'll need to do the following to download : File > Settings > Connection Settings > Set Firewall to passive, and then reconnect.

And as to the legality thing.... well, just be glad Canadian law doesn't exactly specify much on that .

DC++ is basically a program that lets people share files with other people.

Since all the residences are connected, the time it takes to download files from other people in residence is fast. Basically if someone was willing to share a movie, you could have it downloaded in less than 5 minutes.

That doesn't mean it has *everything* though. Whatever's available is limited to whoever's online at the time and what they have shared. Granted there's usually a couple of people who have like a terabyte of stuff shared, so unless what you're looking for is extremely obscure you could probably find it.

Also, you can connect to it off campus, but if you're off campus it's limited to your internet connection speed (since you're not connected to the residences).
