Deferred Exam: Wait Time
Hey I just have a quick question pertaining to deferred exams. I have suffered a death in the family and wanted to know what the chances of my exam being deferred? Also, how long would it take to get approval/disapproval?

Thanks so much!

It will more than likely get approved. Just talk to the associate dean of your faculty. I think you may need a evidence like a death certificate but don't quote me on this. To answer your second question, these things get approved I believe instantaneously but again I have no experience with it so don't quote me.

They allow deferred exams for people who accidentally slept in--they'll definitely defer yours (provided that you don't have a million other deferred exams or some other reason for it to be sketchy). They might ask for proof (a copy of the obituary should suffice, I think?).

If you go in person your way more likely to get a rapid response. Just make sure you bring all the documentation (anything you can think of, even if it seems minor at the time).

Good luck!
