Didn't do so well in Psych 1X03... help
I'm in first year soc sci and I took psych 1X03 and ended up with a D (2) in the course :/ I'm really upset with this mark and I have psych 1XX3 next term which builds on the content covered in psych 1X03. I chose to major in neurosci and behaviour, so I'm going to need this course to succeed in my major! Is it possible to re-do or upgrade the course? And if so, will my lowest mark be dropped?

Thanks for your help

Yes you can redo/upgrade the course and no your lowest mark will not be dropped if you take 1x03 again.

I also didn't do well on bio 1M03 and got a D+... I am thinking of applying to a med school in 4 years or so... If I upgrade this course, will any med schools take notice of this and hinder my application to be accepted into their school?

I would advise to upgrade if you are planning on getting into med school, the higher the GPA the better chances of getting into med school. But I don't think the D+ will hinder your application to be accepted into a med school. Don't take my word for it though. Do some research maybe? or Ask an academic Councillor, they might be able to help.

you will have to redo psych 1x03 in the summer in order to upgrade if you need it for your second year program. you don't choose to specialize until your second year anyways. you have to have AT LEAST a 6 average overall to get into second year honours BA PNB AND you need a B- (a 7) in both psychology 1X03 and 1XX3 to get into the program.

^ I had an 85% average when I got into soc sci. I know people who had a 78% average and they got accepted as well.
