hey guys,

i was wondering if i NEED gr 11 and 12 physics to get into life sciences or health scienes at Mac. i really hate physics. i don't mind the calculations and formulas, it's just the application, and making/inventing things. I would really appreciate if a student who is currently taking this program to give me their point of view. it would really help me out a lot!

From an Engineer's point of view, the life science physics, PHYS 1LS3 I believe, it pretty simple and not really that challenging. If you do ok in high school physics you'll be fine.

As far as pre-requisites go, I'm not entirely sure of the pre-reqs for the programs, I'm pretty sure it's on the faculty's page on the McMaster website.

PS

I'm pretty sure a topic like this should go under academics next time, you'll probably get more replies.

I'm in life science and didn't take any high school physics.
I took phys 1L03 during the school year and had no problems with it. Some of the content will be assumed knowledge to those who took it in high school but the prof still reteaches it, so no worries. Plus, there are tutorials + a quiz every week, which keep you up-to-date on the material.
I took phys 1B03 in the summer and again, wasn't too bad.
