You should get the course approved as an equivalent before actually taking it though. I forgot who to contact, but I would guess it would be an academic counsellor.

That course isn't on the online list of preapproved courses BUT no equivalencies to Math 1LS3 have been listed so the list might not even be up to date. I would talk to the Dean's office for Science (Contact info -- http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/ass.../contacts.html ).

You will also need a Letter of Permission to be able to register in the course (http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/ass...2/letters.html ).

I actually don't even know how they get the preapproved courses. You can get courses approved by contacting McMaster though.

Oh yeah, I also forgot about the letter of permission.

The pre-approved courses are ones that other students applied for a letter of permission for in previous years, and got it. Since its already been approved once they don't waste time checking into the course content.

Just call McMaster, 0 for operator and ask for your faculty's academic advisors. They will transfer you.
