I couldn't disagree more. For some people, that is no doubt their personal goal, but it is not the goal of the program itself.

I applied with a strong near perfect GPA yet I was waitlisted or rejected for professional schools (med, dent). GPA is only one component and you have to be strong in the interview, standardized exam and personal statements/essays. I was fortunate enough to have interviews in Ontario and across Canada but I fell short in the interview stage but there is always next year!

I'm sorry to hear that. You're right there's always next year!

What are you doing in the meantime; like before next year? (Masters, health care jobs etc)

I'm doing research, working on/off and planning to mostly travel during the year. Interviews will start soon so i only have a few more months!
