Ok so I got guaranteed residence, and I also filled out for a special needs form. In the residence portal thing, it used to say "we received your special requirements form but have yet to confirm it" or something along those lines, and now it reads:

Your Special Accommodation has been approved according to your needs and the availability of bed spaces in the system. Room Assignment will be released in early July.

So does this mean that I for sure got my special request? Aka a single room with a private washroom?

Well it depends what the reason was for special accommodations. Most likely you'll be guaranteed a single room but I wouldnt say the private washroom is guaranteed unless its part of why you have special accommodations

So pretty much you got your single room and now the private washroom will be based on luck

I think that becuase it says "and the availability of bed spaces" it doesnt guarantee that you got exactly what you asked for. I'm pretty sure they look at them and then do their best based on what's available.

Yeah, I know someone who filled out a special accomodation form for a room with a washroom, and while she didn't get her first choice (single with washroom), she did still get a room with a washroom because that's what her accomodation was for. So, if yours was for a single room and your accomodation was approved, then you'll get that.

Although room assignments already came out so this may be moot at this point
