Dub Step?
So I've been a fan of dubstep on the side for quite a while now. I was just wondering if there are other fans out there? I heard its not that big in North America(Personally I've never seen it played at any club venues or seen any DubStep themed night adverts) but I think there should be alot of fans like us out there!

Where should I go to find new more underground Dub Step?

Anyone has any favorite Songs?

I've listed the ones I like recently:

its my fav.. I always go to small dubstep gigs in Toronto.. small crown but its growing in Canada I guess. When I lived in London UK it was crazy popular thats how I got into it.. and here its just starting to come around.. but now that deadmau5's new tracks are dubstep ( a couple), i am assuming it will explode.

I don't mind dubstep, but i have to say that as a musical genre it's somewhat linear and mundane. I'm expecting established artists to try something unique as opposed to the constant "wub wub" that amateurs seem to depend on.

Meh :/

I hate the 'wub wub' also, I've seen people commenting on Burial vids because of the lack of it, but Burial's Untrue is a masterpiece and is how dubstep should be done.

The music gives me a bit of a headache but it's amazing to dance to. Very expressive.

I absolutely hate dubstep. I cannot stand the slow distorted basslines. It just sounds like dirty distorted noise. And not dirty in the "good" way. It's just noise to me. I have no idea how people can listen to this. I'm not hating on any of the fans, to each his/her own, it's just a personal distaste lol. I am a huge fan of other genres of EDM though. I must admit though, dubstep is definitely gaining popularity, much to my dismay. I've heard some top 40 dupstep remixes already on the drive at 5 on z103, and even some of the live to airs from Toronto clubs. One thing is for sure though, I will never be playing it .

Btw, for all you fans, during frost week there's a dubstep artist coming to Hamilton, presented by Limelight I believe. I think it's Zed's Dead or something like that.

I'm a bit of a nub at Dubstep. Would you call the songs like Some Chords and Cthulu Sleeps dubstep?

Deadmau5 - raise your weapon

this is very dub step style.. He mixes in everything= very unique sound.
Most of his new songs have a bit of the dub step feel, but not as hardcore as other Djs.
