I blame the mods!
In all seriousness, I think there are a few reasons. But the biggest problem is not the increase in trolls, but the decline in their quality. None of the newer trolls understand subtlety. I have no problem with well done trolling, but seriously. Put some effort into it.

I'd hardly call any of what's happening on MI trolling. I spend a lot of time on the imdb boards, the debates and whatnot that go on here is very mild compared to most message boards on the interwebz. I see trolling as intentionally pissing people off to get a reaction, and here I witness flamewars, not trollng.
EDIT: There are a few trolls around though, and if you spot trolling remember: Don't feed the trolls

I've never seen a board with less trolling and stricter mods. posters can't even swear -.- .the main problem is all the health sci students and a few others that post. |
