EASIEST engineering fields?
Hi so I'm wondering what are the easiest engineering fields in order. I already know civil would probably be first but what would come after? From your experience and what you've heard what do you think are the easiest engineering fields in order of easiest to hardest

How would any one of us know? We pick a stream we like, and usually when you tend you like your courses, you find it easy.

If you're looking for an easy way out, don't do engineering.

IMO i've found chem eng courses relatively easy, and civil courses hard.... it's all up to how you learn and what you like and stuff

What one hears doesn't matter. If you ask the right person, you will hear anything is easy.

The crux of the issue is that you appear to be looking for an easy-way to an Engineering degree. Although the reasons as to why are unknown, do not waste your time. Do something you are passionate about. Go into University with the mindset of learning about yourself, and finding out what you are truly passionate about. If you are just looking for a title, you should re-think your aspirations.

First year engineering at McMaster is general. You take courses from every stream (grant you, they are all introductory). If you want to transfer into another field, then you don't even need to take Engineering courses. You can be registered in Engineering and take basically any course you want if you meet the pre-reqs.

What he said.

I got into my first choice (Electrical) and rumor says that Electrical will KILL you since it is one of the most difficult major. I didn't care and still selected it as my first choice.

Why?

I liked this stream after I learned magnesium (Gauss' Law, Lenz's Law, etc etc) and circuitry (Kirchoff's Law, Ohm's Law, etc etc) in Physics 1E03.

Why?

Clearly 1E03 empathizes mainly in Electrical Engineering.

Surprisingly, before I got into first year. I wasn't planning to go into Electrical.

Anyway back to the point, Engineering isn't for you if you want the easy way out.
