I'm not sure about that. My roomate had the textbook so I used the print version if I needed it (although I didn't find that I needed it very often).

Textbook is useless; Holmes only tests you on her lecture notes. Just memorize them and you're good to go!

Well I could see flash being used in a different way but overwhelmingly its for videos.

The online version of the book is on flash player, but its viewed exactly like it would be on adobe reader (find , etc.). I think they use flash since its harder for people to copy and save a version the textbook than if it was a pdf in adobe. Again the textbook is never used for this course.
