Econ 2B03 Midterm (J. Racine)
I've missed the last few classes (no good reason, just video game addiction ) and was just wondering if he mentioned the last topic covered in class that would be covered on the midterm.

I've kinda assumed it would be everything up to and including oct 5 (lecture 12) uniform distributions because that would seem like a normal (harhar) place to stop for a midterm; but I'd love to know if I'm gonna need to learn the normal / standard normal distributions as well and how to use the lookup tables. Thanks for the last-minute help!

Nope. Everything up to and including what was covered on assignment two (so you don't need to use those tables).
In case your one of those students who hasn't attended lecture for a long time, you should know that the lecture hall has changed. Our class room (and where we write the mid term) is in BSB B136

Thank you SO much for replying! I've only missed the last week-ish so I've been to the new secret underground lecture hall already!

So, this midterm should cover everything up to Section 5.1 in the textbook?

Yes. That is correct.

Last question I think: In section 4.4 there are a bunch of rules for adding/multiplying the mean and variance of discrete random variables. I noticed we didn't do anything like that on the assignment, did he cover those in class or did he just stick to simply calculating mean and variance?
