Econ 2GG3
For those that took the class last semester, how did you find it? Easier or harder than 2X(G)03?

I took it a year ago and it was bloody awful.

If you're good at math, you'll be fine. If you struggle with math, you will struggle with the material. It's consumer theory (whereas 2G03/2X03 is producer theory) and boring as hell. I got an 11 in 2G and 2GG was my lowest mark ever at Mac.. but there's a new prof teaching it so I don't know what she's like. Good luck!

Did you have it with Bruce, last year? It seems he makes his tests fairly simple in that they're all calculus based. If you're grounded in the right principles (have Calc I fundamentals), you should do well??

I know someone who had it last year and did not miss any points on any tests during the term. It's interesting that two reviews are so polarized.

Thanks.

I found it easier cause it's basically the same as 2g03, so once I was familiarized with 2g03, 2gg3 came a lot easier. You have to be comfortable with math to do well so brush up on derivatives and manipulating/simplifying equations. He never tests u on theory; it's implied in his math. Bruce really just mumbles he's not a very good teacher. If u don't understand the math make sure you ask for help. He likes to put twists in his tests but the difficulty of the tests really depend how well the class does as a whole. If the class totally bombs a test than he'll make the next one easy too. His exams are tough but he does bell curve.
