Nobody's allowed to take both.

Nor can you take 2X03 unless you're in commerce.

They're more or less the same course.

Ridiculously difficult, from what I hear.

I have a buddy who has a 10.0+ average and only managed a 5 in 2x03. Lmao. Now that's harsh. >_<

It's the same course. Just two different course codes to ensure that all the Commerce students get a seat whereas the 2G03 course code has a cap.

This course is actually QUITE easy IF you have a good grasp of calculus. The problem a lot of people run into is that they get overwhelmed by the calculus involved in the course.

My advice for this class: study your calculus, and do practice questions. If you have math problems, go to the math tutors in Hamilton Hall. If the Econ concepts elude you, upper year Econ students are generally happy to help.

We all ruminate about the happy time that is 2H03/2G03, before we had to do horrible shit like econometrics.

Upper level econ is heavily calculus based. You need to be good at calc, and good at stats to do well.

Protip:

If you have Aswani for 2X03/2G03, he never changes his tests. I mean they are literally 99.9% identical. So if you have an upper year friend, ask him for the old tests. The downside to this is a lot of people ended up not learning the material and then got owned on the exam because you can't get that.

I think the class average fell like 20% after the exam.

I took it during the fall semester, and it was fine. I hear Hannah Holmes teaches it during the summer, so that might be really good (Holmes' method of teaching, aka the "read-off-the-power-point-slides-verbatim" makes tests absurdly easy).

I hated her.

And she dresses like a 2 dollar hooker. It's gross.

Also, answer my wall post on FB please. <3

It's gross.

She was outside MDCL once having a smoke, and as I walked by I said to myself, "Wow, could she dress any trashier?"

Then I snorted when I realized it was my prof.

She looks like a coke addict.

It depends. I had Aswani during the summer but apparently those who took it first term summer had Holmes.
